Frozen, Blurred, Panned

There are three types of motion shots.

Frozen – A fast shutter speed to freeze motion to stop blur.

Blurred – Purposefully blurs all movement. Using a long shutter speed to capture objects in motion.

Panned – Allows subject to be in focus while background is blurred.

Why would we caption motion?

Movement can communicate mood. Eliminating potential distractions and focus the viewers attention.
