This roll took a slightly different turn, I focused more so upon location and when taking portraits, I looked at more posed ones. I am always very torn between posed and candid shots. While catching a natural moment is so much more satisfying, when wanting to achieve a deadpan aesthetic, posed ones do the trick.
I took this photo at looe beach. Despite it being quite overcast, it was at the end of the day where the sun was setting, so there was a different light. The contrasting and saturated colours reminds me of Martin Parr is some respects.
This photo works, but I do wish I was quick enough to take the photo before she had noticed me. The muted tones and warmth really compliment each other. The different perspective that I have offered by taking a photo of her reflection, adds a different dimension. Composition was key to making this photo work.n
